What's next for healthcare practices on CallRail: More booked appointments & closed loop attribution

We are partnering with NexHealth to connect the dots between marketing calls and booked appointments, so practices finally know which campaigns drive patients through the door.

If you run marketing for a healthcare practice, you know this problem well: every call is a potential new patient, but the path from that first call to a confirmed appointment usually runs through a completely separate system. You can see the calls. You can see the bookings. What you can't easily see is the line connecting them — which means you're often guessing at which campaigns are actually filling your schedule.

We're changing that.

Today we're announcing a new partnership with NexHealth. Together, CallRail's call intelligence and NexHealth's patient experience platform, backed by its network of electronic health record and practice management systems, will help you turn more calls into booked patients and finally see which marketing investments are driving those appointments.

Closing the gap between "they called" and "they booked"

CallRail already helps you identify which marketing efforts drive calls and use voice and text agents to help you capture more patient opportunities from every one of them. These new capabilities will close the next gap for good: the one between that first patient inquiry and the booked appointment.

Here's what that means in practice: Through NexHealth, this attribution will span 15+ leading EHR and practice management systems, including athenahealth, Open Dental, Dentrix, ModMed, and OrthoTrac. When a patient books through a NexHealth booking link on your website, that appointment will appear directly in CallRail's Unified Inbox — right alongside the call that originated it and the marketing source behind it.

That means your team no longer has to reconcile call logs against marketing data against a separate scheduling system just to answer a simple question: did this campaign actually bring in patients? You'll be able to move beyond call volume as your metric and measure what actually matters — which channels and campaigns are generating booked patients.

Our commitment to where healthcare is headed

Imagine your practice's attribution, booking, and patient records all working together seamlessly. A patient calls, and you instantly know what marketing drove that call. You can trust the call is being handled well. The appointment gets booked. And you can connect that booked appointment straight back to the marketing dollars that earned it — no guesswork, no gaps. That's the future we're building for every healthcare practice on CallRail, and this partnership is just the beginning.

This launch is the first in a series of investments we're making in healthcare. NexHealth brings years of experience serving medical and dental practices, and it's a partner we chose deliberately — because closing the loop from call to appointment only matters if it's done in a way your practice can trust. CallRail's healthcare plans are built for HIPAA and HITECH compliance, including a signed Business Associate Agreement (BAA), PHI redaction, and encryption for practices that handle protected health information. What to expect from here

We know healthcare practices have unique needs — compliance, patient trust, and referral relationships that don't look like a typical retail or service business. This partnership is a signal of how seriously we're investing in solving those needs going forward. More attribution clarity. More automation that respects the sensitivity of patient data. More ways to prove which marketing dollars are actually turning into patients in your chairs.

This is just the first step. We'll have more to share soon.
