General Questions
How does CallRail work?
We instantly procure a tracking phone number that forwards to your
main phone number. Your customers dial the new tracking number, we
forward the call, and you answer your main phone like you usually do.
CallRail gathers statistics, and you can check them online in
real-time. CallRail does not require any special training, equipment,
or up-front investment.
Account Management
If I have multiple clients, can I create a separate login for each
client?
Yes, you can create separate companies and client logins for you
clients within your account. Each of your clients will only have
access to their call tracking data.
How many destination phone numbers can I have in my account?
You can have as many destination phone numbers as you’d like. If you
choose, each tracking phone number can be routed to a different
destination number.
Can CallRail’s dynamic number insertion detect vanity phone numbers on
my website?
Yes, CallRail can detect when a phone number contains text. Once you
purchase a tracking phone number, we will have to set up the
configuration on our end with our advanced swap target settings.
My business operates seasonally, is it possible to disable my account
during the off season?
It’s not possible to temporarily disable an account. If you’d like to
cancel your account, you can always reactivate it when you’re ready to
start re-running your ads. However, be aware that if you cancel your
account, your tracking phone numbers will be disabled and you’ll get
different phone numbers when you reactivate your account.
What happens if I cancel my account?
Because we don’t require long-term contracts, you can cancel your
account any time. If you cancel, your phone numbers will be released
at the end of your billing cycle and calls will no longer be routed to
your business. Once your phone numbers are released, they cannot be
recovered.

How long does it take to get a phone number
Phone numbers are available and ready for immediate use.
Do you have toll-free numbers available?
Yes! 888, 877, and 866 numbers are available for an costs per month
per number.
How many phone numbers can I have in one account?
With CallRail, you can track as many numbers as your business needs.
Extra phone numbers are available for a small fee each month.
Do you offer vanity numbers?
No, we do not offer vanity numbers at this time.
Website Call Tracking
How do I install CallRail call tracking on my website?
We provide a simple javascript code that your webmaster can install on
your website. It dynamically replaces the phone numbers on your
website when a visitor from an appropriate traffic source is detected
(for instance, from Google Ads(formerly AdWords)). The code we provide
can be installed just as easily as Google Analytics.
Features
Can I give my client access to their company dashboard without giving
them access to all accounts?
Yes, you can do this by setting your client up as a “Manager”,
“Reporting” or “Notifications” User. Client users have limited access
— they can only see the call data associated with the companies you
assign to them, at the security level you specify. Manager users have
access to update everything but Billing, but Reporting users cannot
create/modify tracking phone numbers (they can, however, make notes
and tag calls).
