Senior Network and Security Engineer

The Position

Responsible for CallRail’s network, technology assets, IAM, information security/compliance and technical support services provided to internal and external customers. This is a hands-on position requiring the individual to have expert level experience in the deployment, management, and maintenance of IAM and network technologies. The position also must monitor and maintain systems that run these services, participate in planning meetings, help employees with problems, and provide expertise to keep the services running over the network at the corporate site and its hosted Cloud infrastructure. 

The successful candidate will have excellent knowledge and experience of security best practices. This position would also run and coordinate multiple IT projects from planning to implementation phases with minimal supervision. The goal is to ensure the integrity and high availability of the network infrastructure to provide maximum performance for the user community.

What You'll Do 

  • Lead in ensuring compliance with internal security policies and controls
  • Lead in establishing, implementing, and enforcing enterprise network and telephony  technologies, standards, practices, and policies
  • Lead in managing the companies IdP
  • Identify and recommend new technology utilization within the corporation
  • Serve as primary point of contact for infrastructure and application vulnerabilities
  • Evaluate new information system products or services and suggest changes to existing products or services to better aide the end-user
  • Lead in building the network design and implementing various network technologies
  • Provide support for a broad range of end-user issues when needed
  • Present training on multiple technical levels
  • Write, maintain, and review complete and concise technical and project documentation
  • Take responsibility for the success of all network-related projects within the company
  • Serve as the subject matter expert between IT security and operations team 
  • Ensure security of the cloud infrastructure, assist in in identification and remediation of vulnerabilities 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years of experience with networking, permissions, security, and telephony technologies
  • 10+ years of experience with systems like firewalls, routers, load balancers, APs and switches
  • Expert level knowledge in IdP, specifically OKTA
  • Expert level knowledge in AWS security best practices and implementation 
  • Expert knowledge of networking protocols(IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP,) tools and technology 
  • Expert knowledge of vulnerability management tools and technologies 
  • Proficient  knowledge of security best practices (CIS, ISO27k, PCI-DSS, HIPAA)
  • Experience managing vendors / third-party service providers
  • Expert knowledge of the following technologies: MPLS, SD-WAN, IPSec Tunnels, SSL VPN, MFA, Radius, VMWare to include NSX, All Network Layers, Public and Private Cloud, Data Center technologies, FC, FCoE and iSCSI, SIEM
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills; must be able to work effectively with other team members
  • Excellent team collaboration skills and proficient in establishing and maintaining effective communication and processes
  • Thorough knowledge of networks and network terminologies and remain current with the state-of-the-art technologies as it applies to secure connectivity
  • Experience in managing projects in an IT network environment that includes Engineering, Operations, Security
  • Ability to manage various vendors and ensure quality and SLA standards are met
  • Ability to work independently on projects and daily activities
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with varying deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team and independently when required
