Senior Full Stack Engineer (Forms & CI)

Location: Atlanta, GA or Remote (US)

The Position

CallRail is seeking senior full stack software engineers to help expand our form tracking and conversation intelligence features. The expectation is you’re willing and capable of tackling both front end and back end challenges, but have a stronger affinity to one. This position will work closely with product management so you’ll be able to understand how our customers use the features you’re building.

What You'll Do

  • Deliver incredible products. We’re a product-first company, and we aren’t satisfied until we’ve built a product so clearly superior that customers have no reason to consider anything else. You’ll be building new features as well as extending and improving existing ones
  • Shared responsibility. We collaborate with Product Managers and Engineers across CallRail, as equals, to provide optimal production services to our customers. This role will interface with many other product teams to ensure we are meeting their needs
  • Be a strong technical contributor. As an individual contributor, you’ll write testable, maintainable, scalable code and deploy it frequently. You’ll review the code of other developers, and be open to feedback about your own
  • Prioritize delivery. Our team ships code multiple times daily, and you’ll help us deliver small continuous improvements with each iteration, if not more frequently
  • Communicate well. You will work with our product team to understand the long term product roadmap so we will never be boxed in by new feature requests. Our code reviews seek understanding of the change, we let robots enforce the guide
  • Be a good teammate. You'll be helpful, open-minded, respectful, and collaborative. You'll support your teammates and challenge them to do their best work
  • Learn. Regardless of your level of experience or seniority, you'll work to improve your skills and learn more about our customers and their needs
  • Be curious. We want to discover new ways of delivering incredible products that are more effective and impactful; you’ll be a voice that raises concerns and questions the way things are, even if it is how we’ve been doing things

We require you to be willing and able to do all of the things in the previous section. Beyond that, there are a handful of things that may make you a better fit but please apply if you don’t check all of these boxes. Working Remote vs. Office (UX/UI)

In The Before Times™, our team worked 3-5 days/week out of our office located Downtown, Atlanta. We enjoyed catered lunch once a week and easy access to many local restaurants, parks, and MARTA within a few blocks. Mario Kart 8 races occurred frequently. And we often worked face-to-face in our ‘design studio’ room to share ideas, chat, and enjoy each other’s company.

It turns out that those things are fun and desirable, but not required. We’re open to fully-remote candidates for this position. Locally we’re currently 100% work-from-home, but we’ll be gradually reopening the office this summer. Starting in September, members of our dev teams who are local to Atlanta will be asked to come to the office on a schedule the team negotiates among themselves; usually this is 1-2 days per week, but there’s flexibility.
