Network Analyst

Location: Atlanta, GA

The Position

The Network Analyst is responsible for ensuring support for the overall on premise and cloud network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience configuring, managing, maintaining and continuously improving the infrastructure.

What You'll Do 

  • Design, implement, manage, and defend a “zero trust”, defense-in-depth network
  • Coordinate with internal teams, service providers, and other stakeholders to ensure network security principles are "built-in" from the beginning
  • Lead network efforts to mitigate and investigate security incidents
  • Configure and/or support and maintain on-prem and cloud security environments including Firewalls, WAF, SDWAN, VPN, and SSL Decryption technologies
  • Solve complex technical problems through engineering, including requirements analysis, design, development, implementation, and testing
  • Maintain operational configurations of network security solutions as per the established baselines
  • Provide on-call support for end users for all network solutions
  • Maintain up-to-date detailed knowledge of the IT security industry including awareness of new or revised security solutions, improved security processes and the development of new attacks and threat vectors. Research, evaluate, and stay current on emerging security tools, techniques, and technologies
  • Recommend additional security solutions or enhancements to existing security solutions to improve overall enterprise security
  • Participate in multiple projects or department initiatives simultaneously

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with networking, permissions, security, and telephony technologies
  • 5+ years of experience with systems like firewalls, routers, load balancers, APs and switches
  • Experience in managing and maintaining IdP, specifically OKTA
  • Experience in AWS security best practices and implementation
  • 5+ years of experience and knowledge in networking protocols(IPv4, IPv6, TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP,) tools and technology
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal skills; must be able to work effectively with other team members
  • Excellent team collaboration skills and proficient in establishing and maintaining effective communication and processes
  • Thorough knowledge of networks and network terminologies and remain current with the state-of-the-art technologies as it applies to secure connectivity
  • Experience in managing projects in an IT network environment that includes Engineering, Operations, Security
  • Ability to manage various vendors and ensure quality and SLA standards are met
  • Ability to work independently on projects and daily activities
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with varying deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team and independently when required
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Network certifications at expert level
  • Five (5) or more years of Network Security Experience including offensive/defensive security. One or more of the following Information Security Certifications preferred: CISSP, CCSP, CCSK, CCNA Security, Security+
  • Experience working in AWS
  • Demonstrated experience researching, building and implementing defensive security systems and leveraging layered security models to defend critical network infrastructure
  • Expertise in understanding threat models to better protect against attacks or detect new vectors
  • Proficient in network and security design, implementation, and administration leveraging industry standard platforms
  • Experience with network security management tools and techniques and security testing tools (performance and threat-based)
  • Experience with Switching (Capacity Planning & VLAN’s), Routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, ECMP, PBF), WAN Technologies (MPLS, VPLS, VPN), public cloud networking, and Security (IPS, RBAC, etc.)
  • Experience leading network efforts to prevent, mitigate and investigate security incidents. Experience in monitoring and management of intrusion detection systems and firewall devices
