Director of Website Strategy and Analytics

Location: Atlanta, GA

The Position

We are looking for a dynamic, detail minded, data savvy leader with deep knowledge in website strategy, analytics and optimization to join our team!  Our website is at the heart of our customer experience and business growth. Reporting to the Head of Demand and Customer Marketing, this position will be responsible for architecting and executing on our website strategy. This will include conducting and implementing cutting edge website analysis and optimization strategies to deliver a best in class digital experience that drives revenue growth. 

The ideal candidate will be adept at interpreting data to understand why people do what they do in the digital world and how to turn those actions into conversions with customer-centric solutions, with a focus on relevant content, and innovative site optimization strategies. They will effortlessly balance the needs of our brand’s identity and our buyer’s experience to meet our business’s goals.  This position demands proficiency and passion for capturing and analyzing website data and optimizing sites for a great user experience. To be successful, it will require effortless cross-functional collaboration to develop and deploy data-driven strategies that increase audience growth and engagement in conjunction with product management, engineering, digital and demand marketing, design and content teams.

What You'll Do 

  • Develop and own the website strategy including content hierarchy, optimization, and distinct customer journeys tightly aligned with business needs
  • Analyze and report on the website metrics and trends, using data to identify opportunities to increase acquisition, engagement and conversion and execute on those opportunities by collaborating with and influencing teams across Content, Design, SEO, Demand and Engineering
  • Work with stakeholders to develop customer journeys and content strategies for an audience first methodology
  • Work with stakeholders to determine business requirements and advise on opportunities and limitations of the website
  • Conduct audits of the digital presence and set KPIs and goals for the website
  • Provide insights and advise on opportunities to utilize new technologies to achieve greater reach
  • Work closely with product management and development team to execute website updates based on stakeholders business requirements and conduct A/B and MVT testing using VWO and foster a culture of experimentation to lead the business forward with data-driven marketing initiatives that increase audience engagement, optimize conversion rates and achieve revenue growth
  • Audit, established and own website tagging and analytics for CallRail site(s)
  • Develop and implement data-backed best practices for campaign landing page designs and digital experiences optimized for conversion
  • Serve as resident site optimization expert working with Content, Product Management, Engineering and Brand teams to consistently implement SEO best practices
  • Collaborate closely with the demand, content, SEO, UX and brand teams to optimize user experience, improve customer journeys and increase conversions
  • Continuously and obsessively learn and study the CallRail platform to better understand the problems it solves for small to medium sized businesses and the agencies who serve them
  • Stay attuned to industry trends, algorithmic changes, and optimization best practices
  • Be a “player/coach”, digging in to deliver critical insights that drive the business forward
  • Manage Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager

Desired Skills & Experience

  • 7+ years of experience with web analytics and site optimization, website management, content strategy or product management, etc
  • Experience managing a team
  • Experience in SaaS preferred, SMB and/or B2B a plus
  • Experience obtaining and communicating business and technical requirements
  • Experience conducting audits of digital presence and website content
  • Experience setting benchmarks and KPIs for various digital platforms
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with a high level of initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, VWO or similar, Looker or similar, content management systems, SEO, A/B and MVT testing
