The Position

CallRail is seeking a Customer Marketing Manager to help lead our customer expansion growth marketing activities. Reporting to the Director of Customer Marketing, the position will be responsible for developing and executing demand strategies and marketing efforts that will drive new product adoption among the tens of thousands of businesses in CallRail’s customer base.

CallRail has evolved from a single point solution providing call tracking and analytics solutions to a fully featured marketing and analytics platform for small businesses and the agencies who serve them. The Customer Marketing Manager will help engage, educate and ultimately cross-sell and up-sell the broader platform of offerings to CallRail’s existing customers.

We are looking for someone with a background in SaaS marketing who is experienced with the demand waterfall model, familiar with customer lifecycle marketing and adept at driving revenue through demand generation. The ideal candidate will be an effortless collaborator, able to develop and deploy successful customer marketing strategies in conjunction with product, sales, operations and the broader marketing teams.

What You'll Do 

  • Lead customer marketing efforts focused on new product adoption and growth
  • Measure, track and communicate success metrics for all customer marketing activities to ensure customer marketing strategies and tactics are in alignment with and delivering on company and team waterfall goals
  • Work closely with Customer Advocacy and Engagement Manager to align all customer marketing efforts with the stages of our customer lifecycle and deliver a best in class customer experience
  • Develop and optimize cross-sell campaigns utilizing primarily email marketing, in-app engagement and digital advertising, with an emphasis on incorporating the voice of the customer (VOC)
  • Collaborate with the product team to leverage and analyze customer data, including product usage and campaign engagement analytics to find opportunities for improving the customer experiences and create highly targeted communication paths so the right message is delivered to the right customer at the right time and through the right channel(s)
  • Develop and optimize up-sell strategies campaigns to expand customer product use, increase stickiness and achieve product line revenue targets
  • Work closely with the product marketing team to identify and seize opportunities in defined customer segments, and ensure consistent and effective positioning across programs
  • Partner closely with content marketing team to identify opportunities to fill content gaps and develop rich and robust content for customers like guides, ebooks, blog posts, webinars and interactive content
  • Collaborate with integrated marketing to plan and leverage webinars, virtual events and social promotions
  • Continuously and obsessively learn and study the CallRail platform to better understand and communicate how it works and the problems it solves for small to medium sized businesses and the agencies who serve them
  • Stay attuned to customer marketing trends and best practices

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in customer or demand marketing and proven success in a performance and results oriented environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in SaaS preferred, SMB and/or B2B marketing a plus
  • Familiarity with Salesforce, Marketo and Pendo desired
  • Experience managing customer cross-sell programs to a revenue target
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with a high level of initiative
  • Ability to measure, monitor and analyze results of programs and determine needed adjustments to marketing strategies
  • Experience successfully collaborating cross functionally with customer marketing stakeholders including product, sales, operations, success and marketing teams
